Game Description:

[In Development: full release summer 2024]

In the chilling video game "Into the Storm," you play as a worker stationed at a seemingly ordinary observatory nestled in the snowy wilderness. As you navigate through dense, frostbitten forests and the eerie corridors of the observatory, unexplained phenomena and sinister secrets begin to unravel. This horror adventure challenges players to uncover the dark truths hidden beneath the icy façade, where every shadow and sound could spell doom.

wanted to finish this but i got stuck at the flames part and had no idea how to continue. i obviously don't like rating games i haven't completed but since the ratings period is very close to ending (as of right now), i don't have time to finish it. sorry :(

as far as my impressions of what i played go, i liked it! it's a neat combination of puzzles and exploration that works pretty well. i usually get stuck a LOT in puzzle games but i felt pretty smart going through these! they're mostly clever but not too hard to figure out.

the story seems intriguing, though i didn't get to see it all. and the style is actually kinda cool! i like the pencil-like look of the facility at the start, and the dark and barren snowy forest has immaculate vibes. and details like the "waking up by pressing enter" being reused later on was kinda awesome ngl.

i do feel like some puzzles could've been less annoying to deal with. the entire forest part didn't need to be so dark imo, and like i said i had no idea to continue in the flames puzzle. maybe it's my fault since other players seem to have completed the game just fine, but i would've given a couple more hints as to how the entire thing works.

all in all i like what i've seen! i'm sad i couldn't finish it, but there's definitely a lot of effort in the puzzles department that, with a bit more polish, could give a puzzle game that should not go overlooked :>

Is there anything after the gate? I'm not sure how to progress, if so. Also, if you're done with the puzzle, and go back down after the campsite has been destroyed, and go back, the campsite will be normal again, and the gate will be re-locked, forcing the player to re-do the totem puzzle again.

Lots of bugs to fix still. You can go back to the gate after the campsite is destroyed and walk through to progress, just can't go back to the forest first.
